Join us from May 29th to June 4th for the Carsten Svanberg Trombone Seminar at Boston University! Ten auditioned participants will have the chance to work individually with Carsten Svanberg and perform as part of a combined recital at the conclusion of the week. Seminar attendees will be able to observe masterclasses and attend performances throughout the week. Both groups will have the opportunity to perform with the combined trombone ensemble at the final concert on June 4th.
Carsten Svanberg is one of the absolute cornerstones of trombone performance and pedagogy in the world today. Mr. Svanberg performed as Principal Trombonist of the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Copenhagen for many years. He is one of the world’s most prominent tenor/alto trombone soloists. Mr. Svanberg taught for many years in Austria at the Graz Conservatory. Many of his students are performing and teaching worldwide. Mr. Svanberg is in constant demand worldwide as a performer and teacher. Although Mr. Svanberg has performed and taught in the United States on over 30 different occasions, this is his first Trombone Seminar Mr. Svanberg will have taught in the United States. Mr. Svanberg is a Yamaha Performing Artist Clinician.
