Greetings from Wisconsin

Post by t00t1nmyh0rn »

Hello all,

Brass player here that has returned after a 20 year hiatus. In middle and high school I played a variety of instruments that consisted of cornet, tenor trombone, baritone (American euphonium), and tuba. At the time I didn't have much of an appreciation for music theory, intonation, or greatly improving my playing capabilities as I was just going through the motions and trying to survive school. After I graduated, I didn't touch a horn until last year when my listening tastes had shifted to classical, orchestral, and brass band music after stumbling onto a classical FM station in my region. That ignited a desire within me to get back into playing while I'm still physically able.

Performing web searches on several topics of horn research led to me to Trombone Chat on more than one occasion. I look forward to interacting with all of you on the forum.
