I agree with the others, very nice playing.
One thing that stuck out for me is that in Serenade in Blue you often play before the time as part of the rubato playing; I find this unusual and interesting, most people would almost always play (or sing) behind the time in their rubato in pieces like this. I'm not entirely sure I like it, though.

Hello Stefan !
Thanks very much for the replay .
I think that if you stay only behind the time , the risk it is to play a little bit "heavy" , expecially with a bass trbn , in this range , and at this tempo ! So , I aim to play also some anticipations , to reach melody notes. This do result in a contracted chords duration , so the musical phrase will come before you aspected it . Of course , that is different from "rushing" the time !
For exemple , at 01:18/01:19 , In the 3rd and 4th beat of the measure (first bar of the last 8 bars' section) , I play a five-eigths notes figure (instead of four eigths notes ) , to reach the long Db (at the 2nd bar) before the point it is written . This , to me , sound less "predictable" , to the audiences .
Of course , you can like it or not like it ; those things are personal point of wiew !

I think landing early can be super expressive. One of the (non-classical) singers with the most expressive timing I can think of is Aznavour. Almost never on the beat, and almost as often ahead as behind. Like a bandoneon player in nuevo tango. I find the sense of freedom it creates fantastic.

Hi Maximilien .
Thanks a lots for your replay !
I am always looking at the way singers stay on tempo . My favourite are Joao Gilberto , Nat King Cole , and Anita O' Day .
Regards
Giancarlo

Hello Dukesboneman .
Thanks you very much !!
The horn is a King Duo-Gravis bass trbn with F /bE (dependant) valves , built around 1975 ; the mpc is a custom Wedge ( a 1.14 inches rim , with a cup' deep similar to Schilke 59 , and a 0.310 throat ) .
Regards
Giancarlo

Fantastic playing! Your sound is excellent and very vocal and your intonation is really great. My only comment, do not call it criticism it’s not, the last note of Serenade In Blue. Don’t like the vibrato.
