I got a tape of a master class Frank hosted at McGill University quite a few decades ago. It's been cleaned up and put on YouTube, so that's something any interested can take a look at. There's some interesting stuff there!

I've seen it. There really is some interesting stuff he discusses and demonstrates. I like his approach of dogging a lick until "it comes in". I am applying that approach to 'The Carnival Of Venice" in Arbans by memorizing it and doing just as he says. And he states not to worry excessively about high range. Just keep practicing and it will come. Such a wonderfully full sound - on - I think - a Conn 6H! Thanks for putting that up on YouTube, Paul. Go watch it, everyone!

I think he may be thinking of the Gibson jazz parties in Coloradi years ago.

I’ve got an LP of Rosolino playing at a University of Portland jazz clinic in 1968 that I’ve been meaning to digitize and get to you. It’s a “Pennies from Heaven” arrangement by Mike Barone. I’ll try to work on it this week.
