Richard Lieb's Concertino Basso

Post by ddsbstrb »

For those bass trombonists who might have performed this composition at some point in your career, I am wondering about a "wrong" note in the piano accompaniment part. I am wondering about the left hand E natural in the bass clef staff in the 8th bar of Letter C? I think this might be a misprint. I think the E should be an Eb?

In the right hand there are several Eb's in the sixteenth notes.

What do you think? Thanks for your opinion. :idk:

Thanks so much! Yes, for sure it has to be an Eb. I am making a Finale piano accompaniment for a student to practice with, before he gets to our staff accompanist, before his jury exam in early December. I noticed the wrong note during a playback of the piano accompaniment.

Thanks, again!

Surely the student should be doing that work in finale, and finding those mistakes? You can learn so much going through the score.
