Having enjoyed participating in Tuba Christmas for several years and lamenting the lack of a local Trombone Christmas, I finally decided to just organize one myself. If you're in/around the Chicago area, come check us out in a couple weeks!
If you're interested in playing with the ensemble (folks on board so far are a mix of semi-pros, advanced students, and strong amateurs) sending me a message indicating what part you'd be most interested in covering would be appreciated. It's possible we'll rotate parts a bit for lead bone stamina reasons.

Probably a good idea if you're going to be using the official Trombone Christmas books. The first parts on those arrangements are merciless.spencercarran wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2023 9:08 amIt's possible we'll rotate parts a bit for lead bone stamina reasons.

Agreed. I attended the Anaheim event last year, but stuck to Tbn 2 part.
