Site performance issues?...
Starting yesterday... the site is consistently SLOW and doesn't render at all every so often.
Is it just me?...

Matt K is aware and is trying to address the issue.
Unfortunately it still seems to be slow.

Judging from the MySql diagnostic, I'd guess there is a table very close to full or so badly fragmented the server is having difficulty extending its page chain even for temporary locks.

Using this as my second post for verification purposes but I want to make the board aware I'm a site reliability engineer in my day job so I'd be happy to volunteer looking at anything and giving my opinion where it would be useful.

Should be fixed now. It’s the tool that I wrote to catch bot traffic again. Ubuntu just released the new LTS (they do so every two years). I was waiting for that to do a fairly major overhaul. I plan on doing a big upgrade next weekend and revamping how I handle bots which should be a t last an order of magnitude more efficient.

Yeah my bad on that one, the house I’m moving to only has Comcast/Xfinity and it’s not hooked up to their fiber yet (frustrating story behind that one) so I was without internet so I missed my notifications. Fortunately the technician comes out this morning to get me on the internet…. … … hopefully

I'm having PMs not leave my outbox and go to the recipient; thank you.

They are going to the recipient. This system shows the messages in your Outbox until the message is read by the recipient (it's also in his Inbox).

Thanks; I didn't realize it was different from email. I'm grateful for those of you who provide and maintain this site.

Don’t worry it’s not just you. It’s a common misconception. I should probably file some kind of suggestion with phpBB because almost nobody intuits the intended behavior
