I was just sent a Shires 11C to try out. I’m a fan of the Bach 6 3/4C, having played them for years, and I was told that the Shires is in the same spec range.
Looking forward to seeing how it feels….on my 6H

Re: Shires 11C
I’ve had a few Shires 11c, and the rim diameter is definitely bigger than any other typical 11c pieces, it’s definitely around a 6 3/4c or even some 6.5 sized pieces at the rim. It had a nice clear sound and was easy to get around on, but I always found it was actually too bright paired with my Shires MD+, and lacked something in the sound vs the Reeves 11c and others. Keen to hear what you think!

My first impression is that it is brighter than what I’m used to from my 6 3/4C. Rim is nice.
