King serial numbers.

Post by Lextier »

Hi everyone,
Im trying to date a King 3B 2103 tenor trombone. The serial number is 5 565714. I've looked on a few sites but past 1980 is a bit unclear.
This horn is actually brand new. It has no miles on the clock whatsoever. The previous owner passed away more than 15 years ago and was a trumpet player. He had bought the horn years earlier but never really played it. The case (in mint condition) suggests 80's - 90's, but the number will reveal all as soon as I can locate it on the appropriate database.
Thanks in advance.
Lex.
