Hey all,
Has anybody here played on any of Jerome Wiss' euphonium (or trombone) mouthpieces? Any idea of the playing characteristics, feel, or weight? Comparisons to bigger makers?
Thanks!

I have Jerome's ophicleide mouthpiece. I don't know how much it has in common with his euphonium and trombone mouthpieces. It's beautifully made and is medium heavy with a fairly thin flat rim. I visited Jerome in Paris several years ago and I was extremely impressed by his instruments and his approach to design.

I have two of them. They lean on the bright side (in a good way) the rim is a touch wider and semi flat with a well defined inner bite and I'd say the trombone is a medium cup depth with the euphonium a bit deeper and not a full V cup but in between a V and a bowl. They look great and the plating is top notch.
