Lacquer on early 80s 76H

Mid bore with F attachment, one of those little projects. If I were to try to strip and clean the lacquer, how much of a pain would that be? What type of lacquer is this, doesn’t look like the nasty thick orange stuff. Needs a bit of clean up and deciding if just stripping and polishing would be a better plan.

Is it 76H Century? AFAIK it is/was a straight horn.
What kind of F-attachment will fit it?

76H was apparently a recycled Conn model number (1920s and 1090s):

The 76H "Century" was apparently only produced for a short while (~1983), and was not highly valued.

I know that there were different models with this "name",
but, only Century was made in 80s...
That's why I've asked.
Maybe elmsandr meant 75H (which has an attachment)?

Could swear it was a 76, but I wasn’t wearing my readers… either way, the rose belled smaller F attachment horn.

What was the lacquer of the day for those? What kind of arsenal am I going to need to clean this thing up?

If it looks like this one it is 75H.

From the advent of the LustreConn finish it would be an epoxy lacquer since that was what both Conn and King have been using.
