Saw this in the library at the local university and thought it was pretty neat!

The placard says you hum into it like a kazoo. It's not a real instrument

There's a track of a Philipines bamboo band on the CD that comes with the book "Brass Unbound".

Yes, but it does seem to lack some bass.

It's artistic integrity. They aren't bowing down to what the mainstream thinks of as "good" -- big bass and trap beats. This is the real music

The trombone was O.K., but I preferred the sound and timbre of the bamboo saxophone. :roll:
