Yamaha YSL-684g bell solder

I recently got a used in near perfect condition YSL-684g medium bore tenor trombone and I was looking at it today and saw that around the curl on the bell there was solder covering the gap and I like that its there because now I cant get polishing cream stuck in it. I just want to know if that is normal for professional horns to have.

Some professional horns have soldered in bell wires. Others don't. Yamaha usually has soldered bell wires. I'm not going to go into a discussion of the pros and cons of soldered bell wires -- it's been discussed elsewhere here.
