I have a 4747 slide for my 88H and it has the 3 interchangeable leadpipes marked S, M and R. I use the M.
I recently came across a Conn leaflet from 1999, introducing these slides and showing some basic measurements. It lists the S and R as being 8.00in in length and the M being 8.75in long. The R pipe in my set is 9.7in in length!
Can anyone explain this discrepancy? Is it a misprint in the leaflet; have they changed the specs.; do I have a rogue R pipe or what?
Just curious.
Cheers

I have the same handslide and set of pipes.
I'll check their length Saturday, when I get back home.

Re: Conn 88H leadpipes.
You talking diameters? Stewbones was talking lengths. S and R are supposed to be 203mm, M supposed to be 222 mm. His R pipe measures 246 mm.UATrombone wrote: ↑Wed Mar 19, 2025 2:54 pmSo, I'm home a little earlier...stewbones43 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 19, 2025 3:37 am Thanks, looking forward to your reply.

It was typo. At first I thought to give length in mm, but type them with dot...BGuttman wrote: ↑Wed Mar 19, 2025 4:07 pmYou talking diameters? Stewbones was talking lengths. Corrected my post.
So, my R has right specs, M is slightly shorter.
Will try to find and check my S.
