Anyone have any info.... ? Dated 1917 Chicago bolt on Holton trombone counter weight ?

Just wondering if it was after market? Came with the instrument ? Was it accessory or stock with the "Revelation" model ?

Stock component with most sizes of Holton tenor trombones in the 1910s and 1920s. They had a few different versions, the most common being the "half moon" shape.
