Greg Black rim contour difference?

I've been playing on a gb 2gm on my tenor for a few months. Love it. Decided to try something similar and bought a GB NY 1.5. Little different backbore, which doesn't bother me, but the rim is sharper. Anyone else have this issue going from GB to GBNY?
