Had them 2 weeks ago. Used crappy and bluegill for thoes. I'd probably have them every week if I could get the rest around here on board.

When I first moved out to (So.) California 20 years ago, a friend took me to Rubio's for my first fish taco. I didn't know there was such a thing, being a New Englander. I couldn't believe how good they were!

We make them at home now but when I get them out here in San Francisco it is at The Taco Shop at Underdog's in the Outer Sunset. They are excellent.

If you make them yourself, their fine. The last time I had store-bought frozen firshsticks they were made of fish mush, not fillets, and had a horrible batter/coating on them. They are easy to make - Alaskan pollock works great.

I think I can make better fish tacos than even my favorite taqueria in town, but I think it could be my pride talking. I was addicted to them but I'm trying to cut back on fried food. Still good for a treat every so often
