One tip... Studios use a clapper for multiple reasons, including clip identification and sound synchronization.
It's simple to just clap your hands at the beginning and will make a world of difference when mating up audio tracks recorded separately from video tracks.

True - fortunately for this particular tune everybody either starts on bar 1 or bar 5 so it is pretty easy to line up the tracks.

Here is a quick and dirty video edit with all the parts. This is just with the scratch audio.

It played fine for me on Vivalde. What I like about this version is that the volumes have been blended a lot better, The guys honking in the background should not be drowning out the melody. And since the melody keeps jumping from part to part, the players should be more cognizant of when they are featured and when they are background. That's what is so nice about that other multi track performance in a different thread. He manages to create a nice balance between melody and harmony.

Doesn't play on Firefox with ad blockers. Plays ok on Chrome.

Look for the final product by tomorrow. Michael sent me the edited audio mix this afternoon. The audio on that draft is more of less just to keep all the tracks aligned.

I know!!! I thought I had a santa hat somewhere but with all the isolation for the last few years and a move all I could find was the santa playing a trombone featured behind me

It’s OK. John Fedchock won last year and he was the guest star.

When is the YouTube version going public? And I thought everybody did a great job, and the video editing and sound deadening or superb!

Here it is!
Thanks to everyone who sent in a video. Big thanks to Erik for procuring the music, to Michael for the excellent audio mix and to Duke, Billy, and Robert for the great arrangement. I have had the opportunity to play this whole Nutcracker suite a couple of times with my big band and it is really fun.

We got close to 600 views this year. Not as much as last year, but still a lot of eyeballs. And it will be there forever or until YouTube shuts down in 2097 or thereabouts.

I’m in. Maybe we can engage the “usual suspects” for the production work. They do miracles with the sound and video.
