The school I work for is in the process of purchasing 15-20 mouthpieces for trumpet, horn, trombone, and tuba. Along with this we would like to invest in a LOCKING display case for them. I know that Bach has one, though it doesn't lock. Do any of you know of any other companies that make something like this?

Buy a small locking cabinet.  Put a yarn spool rack in it.  Can probably get both at a local fabric shop for way less than any mouthpiece case.

Cheers,
Andy

Check out this thread where someone posted a pic of their mouthpieces on a spool rack. Seems like a good idea.

It doesn't for me either. Whomever posted that pic must have deleted it from his photo host site.

I like the idea of a shop project.  A wood plank with a bunch of 1/4" holes each of which has a 2 inch piece of 1/4" dowel would be perfect for what he wants to do.  Put the plank inside a small locking cabinet and you're good to go.

Or a variant of the key cabinet: The plank goes on the back wall.  Holes are drilled at a 45 degree angle.  The key cabinet locks, and that protects the collection of mouthpieces inside.

I'm sorry guys, I didn't check before I posted to make sure it was still there. I just remember looking at it awhile back and did not even think to check and see if it was still there. A dumb mistake on my part  Image
