The Conn 52H is billed as being a dual bore taking a small shank mouthpiece. Bore = .525/.547

I just picked one up from a kid who quit band. This one does take a large shank mouthpiece but it appears to be a straight .547 (the outer fits on the inners upside down)

I'd heard rumors that there were some 52Hs that were not dual bore. Anyone know anything about this?

Could it be a 52H bell section with a 8H/88H slide?

And...

Do you like the way it plays?

I currently play a 52H with a SL4762 slide (dual bore)
