Fitting Rath R9 in DAC NX-2

Hi all. Is anyone out there using the NX-2 case with an R9?
I bought a DAC NX-2 case for my Rath R9. As it's meant to be a tight fit anyway, I confirmed with DAC that it would fit the R9. I can get all the pieces inside the case but I can only by configuring the foam blocks farther off of the guide than I think is intended. Even at that, the back of the valve section is a little closer to the slide than I would prefer and the paddle for the Gb valve is against the inside of the case.
I might be able to make it fit by modifying some pieces but I don't want to start doing that in case I decide to sell it and get a Marcus Bonna or something.
Thanks!
update - I checked with DAC and they had a Rath in their shop that they used to fit a case. They sent pictures and gave a writeup too - really pleased with their service.
I haven't had a chance to really work with it much since then but I think I'm still going to add a bit of padding here and there.
