Hal Crook’s ring trombone

Post by wesleyrubim »

Hi everyone, I’ve seen Hal Crook using some kinda ring on his horn (the red stuff in his bell)
Does somebody know what is that? And why he used it?

Thanks

Looks like a Velcro band to keep a mic wire close to the bell.

It’s common to use the straps to hold a microphone wireless pack against the tuning slide area.
