Neotech Grip And F Attachment

I developed rheumatoid arthritis in my hands in 2019, so I started using the Neotech on my 6H. It works great. There is a learning curve in changing mutes.
I recently got a Yamaha YSL-684G, and I can’t get it adjusted to work. Since the trigger comes up from underneath, my thumb knuckle continuously interferes with the trigger operating smoothly no matter how I adjust it.
I know others use the grip with triggers from above, like on Bachs. Am I going to have to resort to having my assembly customized? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'd probably use a different grip aid- I don't love the neotech with all horns. Perhaps consider a Leather Specialties strap.

I rotated and offset the support and it works fairly well. I have to accept the weird thumb position with my thumb at the bend but it works.

But I agree it’s not ideal

I did that, it didn’t help.

A friend gave me an An Axe Handle. Clamped it onto the bell brace, works great!
