What is everyone's experience of the lest expensive way to ship a case? The estimates I'm getting are all over $100.

Greyhound no longer ships.

Any shipping option now is over $100. The cheapest I have sent a trombone at all (same size box, but lighter without a case) was $140 in the last year.

If it's a non-wooden case, you can ship it inexpensively via UPS by simply securely attaching a durable shipping label to the case handle. It's worked twice for me. UPS drivers are happy that they have a handle to grab, and will treat it carefully. Wooden cases might need some protection, but it could also work.

Ah, that's a shame. Shows how often I need something like this... :shuffle:

Interesting. Do you know if it might get scuffed up this way? It's a Bonna case.

Nylon / Cordura should be no problem. Greenbean sent me a Bam case that way - it arrived in pristine condition. :good: (No guarantees of course.)

I imagine a leather case could be at risk of being scuffed. :idk:
