This is a fun read. Trombonists are people. Always have been, mostly. That means that when they're not playing trombone, they may be involved in some strange activities.

Re: Trombone tales, from weird to wonderful
Ok, now i can safely turn off my computer for a few days — no chance anything better than this is going to come out of it!
Just the quotes themselves are absolute gold:
"The entrails, which are underneath the midriff, are exercised by blowing, either by constraint or playing on the shawms, or sackbuts, or other like instruments which require much wind."
"The entertainer and the juggler are not people like other men, but have only a semblance of humanity, and are almost comparable to the dead."
the sources to the text seem to be great also (could be old news to you guys, but i'm only half a year old, trying desperately to catch up) :

Fun read. I’m not sure whether I should be proud or embarrassed to be associated with spies, murderers, jugglers, and pharmacists, let alone other trombonists!
