I exchanged both slide and bell section with my friend, and found out that his bell section makes the difference instead of the slide. I just let my technican clean and check my instrument, and he found nothing wrong with it.
Any suggestions?

Agree, but I feel that mine was also compact first and nowadays it became too opensirisobhakya wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 3:33 am Trombones are hand-made, and every example, even of the same model from the same era by the same manufacturer, can differ even fresh from the factory.
The difference can range from negligible to significant. This is why eveyone says “try before you buy”.
Yes, I’ve tried them. But I don’t really like them since those pillars really make the horn respond differently…harrisonreed wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 5:20 am Have you tried using the copper pillars in an upward position in the middle brace hole? That will tighten it up.
Maybe they won't work the way you want, but your horn sounds like it already is responding differently. Worth a second try, anyways.solidshi8 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 7:32 amYes, I’ve tried them. The technician double checked the valve and said it’s okharrisonreed wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 7:48 amMaybe they won't work the way you want, but your horn sounds like it already is responding differently. Worth a second try, anyways.
It could be a valve alignment thing, maybe?
Another technician helped me figure out the issue. The valve leaks now lol… should I send it back to Edwards factory or just buy a new one….ZacharyThornton wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 9:42 am Email Christan or Jesse at Edwards (or call) and tell them the issue. I promise they can help. I can think of three or four things I have recommended when I got calls about the same sorts of issues. (I worked at Getzen/ Edwards precovid).
