Hi there,
I’m looking for a new trombone and have tried out many. I’m currently playing a Conn 88h from the late 50s I believe and it seems to be a lot lighter than any of the new shires, bachs, or Yamahas I’ve tried. Does anyone know the exact weight so that I could compare? This would just help until I go try out more.
Thanks!

Re: Trombone weight
Here are some weight
Bach Soloist 3.2 lbs
Besson 10-10 3.8 lbs
King 607F 3.75 lbs
Shires Q 4.6 lbs
The King seems almost weightless after playing the Shires. The 10-10 is a straight horn, built like a tank.

Re: Trombone weight
My Elkhart 88h is 3.7 lbs without the mouthpiece. It has screw-in leadpipe.
