Edwards AR leadpipe insertion depth?

Post by NordicTrombone »

I've got a question to the Edwards T396AR players on the forum; How far does your mouthpiece fit into the leadpipe? My mouthpieces fit in about 22mm to 23mm and on all other non-Edwards pipes they go in 4mm-5mm further. And on the AR pipe there is also a tiny bit of wobbling going on.

But before I contact Edwards about it, I'd like to hear if anyone has similar experiences with that particular leadpipe :hi:

If your mouthpiece goes in the leadpipe farther than you wish, that is an easy fix for a good tech. The tech should also be able to get rid of the wobble.

Mostly Doug Elliott's, but I've tried quite a few different ones like Greg Black, Griego, Laskey and more. The insertion depth is similar and the wobble is still there.
