Dave Bargeron?

Post by officermayo »

Saw a post on FB about an hour ago announcing his death.
Can anyone confirm?

The contest entry form said "Void where prohibited", so I peed on the Captain's desk.

Well that's bad news. The posts I see are from people who would know, so I guess it's true.

Yes - I've also heard from multiple sources. Great player - sad news. RIP.

Once saw BS&T locally about 1970-71. Great live band. Dave was an inspiration along with James Pankow.

I wasn’t quite sure what you were talking about until I realized Dave’s tuba solo didn’t make the AM radio version (or at least the version Siri found for me). It’s been a half century since I listened to the album.

He played a couple notable solos in Redemption, also on BS&T 4.

He was great...

At first I was thinking Wayne Bergeron, Doug's Doppelgaenger.

Well, damn. I have his album "Barge Burns, Slide Flies". Only met him once, but he was a nice guy and a hell of a player.
