I picked up this Olds P-24G bell section last night and thought it'd be perfect as a 'small bass'. It's only the bell section, which is totally fine because I still have a mint Conn dual bore 0.547/0.562 (SL4762) slide to pair with it. As you can see from the photo, the bell section is missing the bell nut/slide receiver. Is there anything I need to be concerned about when adding a Conn part to an Olds bell? Should the diameters and lengths match up or is some kind of custom enlarging/reducing ferrule needed because the Conn receiver doesn't match the F-valve knuckle tubing?
Thanks in advance!

Not necessarily. OD varies from model to model (and sometimes within model) so I'd expect a little custom work but nothing that wouldn't be worth making that beautiful vintage horn playable again!
