Unaccompanied Trombone pieces?
I have many important scholarships auditions approaching, and i need a few pieces from 3-10 minutes without a piano accompanist.

Re: Unaccompanied Trombone pieces?
Here are some suggestions for pieces that are at (or beyond) UK grade 8 standard. I apologise that I do not know how this relates to other grade scales.
Elegy for Mippy 2 - Bernstein
Ricercare - D. Gabrielli
Fantasy for trombone - Arnold
Fanfare - John Kenny
The trombone solo from Mahler 3 and some of Bourgeois' Fantasy pieces used to be part of the ABRSM grade 8 list, although I am not sure if they are now.
Edit - it may be a little helpful to others if you could say roughly what your playing level is and the pieces that you enjoy playing. The pieces listed above are tough and it is probably better to play all of a comfortable piece with style than it is to show that you can hit 90% of the notes in the Arnold. And best of luck!

Tenor or Bass Trombone?
If it's bass, check our "First Things First" by Frank Gulino.

Plus 1 for the Bassett. Good piece, with a few movements, not too difficult but still somewhat challenging. Ralph Sauer has a good recording of it on one of his Crystal Records recordings. It is a serious piece without any "effects" that I would think would make a good impression on a panel listening to you to decide if you deserve a scholarship, etc.
